In the drilling industry, it is important to use environmentally safe drill lubricants.  Below are 6 benefits of using environmentally friendly drill lubricants.

They are environmentally safe

Take hydraulic fluid for example:

·      Is there a leak in your hose?

·      Is there run-off when you switch your hoses?

When harmful products leak into our ecosystem it can harm surrounding areas, as well as the animal and plant life in those areas.  When you are using environmentally safe hydraulic fluid, like what Matex provides, you will not have to worry about contaminating the environment.

Prolongs life of materials

Drill lubricants can increase the life of materials.

Using drill lubricants can keep materials cleaner, and can also decrease the wear on internal parts of your hammer.

Lubes can also, reduce pressure on the hammer, which will help decrease intense heat.

Drill lubricants save time on-the-job

So many drillers have had the problem of drilling a hole, removing the equipment, and then….having a hole cave-in, after it has just been drilled.

Lubricants can moisten the holes, which helps prevents cave-in.  In return saving you time.

Ability to use in all climates

Investing in products like Matex Slo-Freeze, enables you to work more efficiently in colder climates.

Slo-Freeze acts as an environmentally safe anti-freeze in the drilling process.

Saving money

Using environmentally safe drilling oils can also save you money.  With vegetable oil-based products, you wont receive fines from the EPA for contamination.

Concentrated products also help save money, because they allow you to use less of the drilling lubricant.

Helps control dust

Viscosity of drilling lubes can help control extreme dust on drilling sites.

Environmentally safe drill lubricants are extremely helpful in the mining and drilling industry today.
